This August, get ready to ignite your patriotic spirit as we mark Singapore’s 61st birthday at TP’s very own National Day Celebrations (NDC) 2026!
Inspired by this year’s National Day Parade theme, “Majulah Singapura, Go Beyond!”, our celebrations honour the Singapore Spirit and our shared aspirations to grow and progress as a nation – while standing together in care, support, and solidarity with one another and our wider community.
In this month of unity, watch our campus come alive with an electrifying array of activities presented by our schools, CCAs/Clubs, and partners. Immerse yourself in a rich tapestry of cultures at the SU Harmony Fest: “Project Rojak” for Racial Harmony Day, be inspired by the “We Pledge: 60 Years of Us” Travelling Exhibition, be wowed by a Military Defence Display by 23SA, jump into a colourful variety of school-based celebrations – and many more!
Cap off the celebrations with a spirited finale at our National Day Concert 2026: “Semangat ke Hadapan” (The Spirit of Moving Forward) – proudly brought to life by Temasek Arts Centre! Follow a young content creator and her grandfather on a heartwarming intergenerational journey, as they rediscover the iconic sights, defining moments, and heartfelt stories that make Singapore home.
On top of that, get hyped for vibrant performances by the TP Staff Band, alongside special guest Lion City Brass Band and perennial crowd favourites – the adorable kids from Little Skool-House. Plus, dive into exciting stage games and stand a chance to score attractive prizes, and enjoy a post-concert reception featuring local hawker delights!

This Racial Harmony Day, come celebrate Singapore’s vibrant tapestry of cultures, immerse yourself in the rich diversity that unites us, and embrace the spirit of harmony that makes Singapore truly home!
Led by the TP Students’ Union, the SU Harmony Fest: “Project Rojak” invites you to experience unity in harmony through fun cultural dress-ups, traditional game booths, and hands-on cultural art activities. Indulge in delicious free snacks (redeemable when you complete the activities), strike fun poses at the photo booth, and stand a chance to win attractive prizes for the best-dressed cultural outfits on the day.

This August not only marks Singapore’s 61st National Day, but also 60 years since the National Pledge was first recited in schools on 24 August 1966.
Organised by Defence Collective Singapore, the “We Pledge: 60 Years of Us” Travelling Exhibition pays tribute to six decades of the National Pledge. Step into an immersive journey through the stories, defining moments, and shared values that have shaped our national identity. As you explore, take a moment to reflect on what our National Pledge meant in the past, reaffirm its significance today, and be inspired to carry its spirit forward into the future.

Military Defence is a pivotal pillar of our Total Defence as a nation. In conjunction with TP’s NDC 2026, the 23rd Battalion, Singapore Artillery (23SA) will be deploying its state-of-the-art High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) and the iconic 25-pounder Howitzer right to the Triangular Gardens. Don’t miss this opportunity to get up close to these impressive artillery giants, snap loads of Instagram-worthy shots, and tag @temasekpoly to share your excitement with our TP family!
Also, do remember to head over to The Plaza to explore small arms and field rations exhibits, and check out interactive stations such as Physical Training booths, where you can jump into fun and exciting activities to challenge your physical abilities.

Celebrations in the Schools
Commemorate National Day with your schools through a line-up of meaningful activities this August. Show off your distinctive school spirit and flair, and come together to express your collective love for Singapore in this exciting month of unity and celebration!

School of Applied Science (ASC) |
The ASC Studies Club will roll out a fun-filled initiative that sends students in teams of four on a heritage adventure across Singapore – with the perfect mix of discovery, creativity, and national pride! Participants will take on a series of SG61-themed bingo challenges to uncover hidden stories and nostalgic gems. Along the way, they will put their photography, filming and interviewing skills to the test – from capturing unique sounds on our public transport, chatting with seniors about “old Singapore”, to reviewing delicious local cultural fusion food. |

School of Business (BUS) |
BUS will turn National Day into a feast for the senses with a “Hawker Stall-themed” Staff Lunch, where staff are encouraged to come decked out in their best Batik attire. The BUS Concourse (Level 2) will also be transformed with vibrant Batik-inspired decorations, fun photo props, popcorn stations, and a digital video wall looping iconic National Day songs to welcome students and staff in true celebratory style. |

School of Design (DES) |
DES will turn up the creativity with “BYO Let’s Tie Dye SG Red Socks” – a hands-on art workshop for the DES community to celebrate National Day through their own artistic designs. Adding to the festive vibes, the school will also be adorned with striking student-designed SG61 wall installations, showcasing national pride in true DES style. |

School of Engineering (ENG) |
The ENG Studies Club will bring the buzz to the “Annual Changkat Community Club National Day Carnival” with nine interactive booths packed with fun, hands-on activities. In addition, the Engineering Student Ambassadors will partner with SG Digital to run digital literacy workshops – where they will introduce seniors to technology at community wellness centres, while helping them to stay connected in an increasingly digitalised world. |

School of Humanities & Social Sciences (HSS) |
HSS will drum up the festive fun with a “National Day Dress Up Challenge”, where the HSS community can come attired in their most creative red-and-white outfits and stand a chance to win exciting prizes. The HSS Studies Club will also be running a National Day-themed treasure hunt for students to explore, strategise, and compete with their friends. Staff will embark on a Peranakan heritage learning journey to Joo Chiat – complete with a museum visit and a hands-on popiah-making session – for a truly immersive cultural experience. |

IIT will bring the National Day vibes to The Plaza and IIT Concourse with a combined Racial Harmony Day and International Friendship Day celebration. Students can look forward to nostalgic game booths and interactive challenges, while celebrating the rich diversity and cross-cultural friendships that make our community so special. |
