SEAL

  1. Who can create the event name?

EPC (Events/Programmes/Competitions) names creation can only be done by Staff and approved by SEAL Coordinator.

  1. Where can I access the system?

The SEAL website can be accessed through TP Student Portal.

  1. How can I submit the participation?

Submission of participation record(s) by students can only be done with EPC code from Staff.

  1. I have missed my deadline for submission, what can I do?

All CCA participation records must be submitted via the system for verification within 30 Days upon the completion of an event. As you have missed the deadline given, we regret that the system will not be able to accept your submission. However, you could seek your staff advisor’s assistance who could seek approval from Director/SDAA for extension of deadline.

  1. I have taken part in the school events, who are the SEAL coordinators to endorse my CCA participation?

Each school has appointed at least one SEAL Coordinator to assist you. They are:

  1. If I am a student who has been actively involved in non-TP CCA, can my involvement be recognised by TP and will it be recorded under the SEAL System?

All non-TP related CCA involvements will be recorded under SEAL system provided they could be verified and the activities must not be religious or political in nature.

Points for CCA performed outside TP will be awarded for:

  • representing an external organisation in projects, performances, events and/or competitions approved by the Polytechnic.

Points will NOT be awarded when:

  • participation is solely for social interaction;

With regards to students’ involvement and participation in non-TP related CCAs, the following staff can help to endorse (Endorsement should be sought prior to the events):

  • Appointed SEAL coordinators in the respective schools/depts

  • Care Persons who are in charge of their respective class.

  • Appointed staff who are in-charge of a particular project that involve students' assistance.

Note: SDAA will only endorse students' participation and involvement in TP CCA groups.

SEAL Points will not be applicable to Polytechnic Foundation Programme students.

  1. How are CCA points allocated?

CCA points allocation information can be found on the SEAL system (top right tab : 'Help' -> 'FAQ') website can be accessed through TP Student Portal.
