Temasek Student Excellence Awards 2025

The Temasek Student Excellence Awards (TSEA) are presented annually to recognise the inspiring achievements and outstanding contributions of students in non-academic domains, such as the arts, sports, leadership, service, entrepreneurship and character.

In the spirit of celebrating excellent student endeavours, we are happy to announce that nominations for the TSEA are now open!

Take a moment to acknowledge your students' remarkable dedication, selfless commitment, and inspiring leadership by nominating them for the TSEA today. Let's uplift their spirits and give them the recognition they truly deserve!

Nominations for the TSEA are open from now till 21 March 2025 (Friday). Please refer to the full list of awards, as well as the eligibility criteria, nomination process and submission forms/links below.

Award Information (Nomination and Selection)

General Information (Award Nomination)

  • Nominations for the TSEA are open from now till 21 March 2025 (Friday),11.59pm. Nominations received after the deadline will strictly not be accepted.

  • Unless otherwise specified, only TP CCAs registered with the Student Development & Alumni Affairs Department are eligible for the TSEA.

  • For the CCA Merit Award (Arts/Sports/Leadership), Full Colours and Half Colours Award, CCA advisors are to submit their nominations via the provided nomination form to the TSEA Secretariat at: tsea@tp.edu.sg (Only electronic submissions will be accepted.)

  • For the Individual Higher Awards, Group/Team Higher Awards and Outstanding Coach/Instructor Award, nominations must be submitted via the official online forms.

  • Nominations must be submitted by TP staff for all the awards (with the exception of the *Temasek Student Eco-Award). Nominations sent by students are deemed to be unsupported by TP staff and will hence not be accepted. Students who are found to have submitted their nominations without the endorsement of TP staff will have their awards withdrawn.

  • It is the TP staff’s responsibility to verify the accuracy of all information, including the nominees’ SEAL records, before submitting their nominations. 

(*Students are allowed to nominate themselves for the Temasek Student Eco-Award. TP staff can submit nominations for this award as well.)

Selection (Award Selection)

  • All forms must clearly indicate the nominated award category. However, the Selection Panel will make the final decision for the category that is most applicable.

  • Selection is based on a set of pre-determined criteria, which includes amongst other things, standard of achievement, attendance, level of contribution, scale and number of projects, and demonstration of artistic merit, leadership skills and sportsmanship.

  • The selection of nominees will be left to the Selection Panel and the decision of the Panel is final. Neither direct communication nor appeals will be entertained.

Conditions

  • The award may be withdrawn from the recipient, should inaccurate facts or information be provided at the time of nomination.

  • The Polytechnic reserves the right not to award any of the awards if no suitable candidates are identified.

1.   CCA Merit Award (Arts/Sports/Leadership)

This is awarded to students who have been actively involved in their respective CCAs over the past academic year (AY2024/2025).

2.   Half Colours/Full Colours Award

This is awarded to students who have been actively involved in their competitions CCAs over the past academic year (AY2024/2025).

3.   Temasek CCA Gold Award

This is awarded to an exemplary and outstanding final-year student (AY2024/2025), who has been actively involved in his/her CCA throughout his/her course of study in TP.

4.   Artist of the Year

This is awarded to an artist who has displayed exemplary artistic merit and conduct in his/her CCA over the past academic year (AY2024/2025).

5.   Sportsperson of the Year

This is awarded to a sportsperson who has displayed exemplary sportsmanship and conduct in his/her CCA over the past academic year (AY2024/2025).

6.   Student Leader of the Year

This is awarded to a student leader who has displayed exemplary leadership and conduct in his/her CCA over the past academic year (AY2024/2025).

7.   TP Character Award

This is awarded to students of outstanding character, who exemplify key values such as integrity, respect, responsibility, resilience and compassion.

8.   Promising Young Entrepreneur Award

This is awarded to entrepreneurial students / fresh graduates, whose businesses exhibit excellent growth or high potential for growth and scalability.

9.   Community Service Excellence Award

This is awarded to students who have demonstrated commitment to advance the welfare of their community at large, and/or who have made significant contributions to this community over the past academic year (AY2024/2025).

10.   Service Excellence Award

This is awarded to students who have demonstrated a high level of commitment to supporting TP activities, and who have made significant contributions to the wider TP community over the past academic year (AY2024/2025)

11.  Temasek Student Eco-Award

This is awarded to students who have demonstrated a high level of commitment to championing or supporting eco-initiatives, and who have contributed significantly to sustainability efforts over the past academic year (AY2024/2025).

12.  Outstanding Coach/Instructor Award

This is awarded to an officially-appointed TP coach or instructor who has performed consistently well, and who has demonstrated excellent student/team management skills and strong commitment to TP.

This is awarded to an outstanding arts group that has displayed high artistic merit and contributed to the vibrancy of campus life over the past academic year (AY2024/2025).

3.   School Club of the Year

This is applicable to the respective Studies Clubs of the six schools, which has contributed in an impactful way to its School as well as the wider community over the past academic year (AY2024/2025).
