Band

Temasek Polytechnic Band (TP Band) is a dynamic performing ensemble of passionate student musicians, contributing actively to TP’s arts scene since 1990. TP Band performs a wide repertoire spanning classical wind literature, contemporary works, popular music and cinematic soundtracks, and is known for delivering polished, high-energy concerts for both campus and community audiences.

With a rich blend of woodwind, brass, percussion and strings, TP Band produces a full, vibrant sound that keeps performances exciting and audience-ready. Under the baton of Mr Tan Beng Wee (Head Conductor) and Mr Ignatius Wang (Associate Conductor and alumnus, Music Director – SAF Central Band), members receive structured training through full rehearsals and sectionals. The band is a Gold-award winning ensemble at regional band festivals and competitions.
