Since its launch in 2022, Tapestry has grown into a vibrant student-led platform for creative ownership and artistic discovery – celebrating original work, bold collaborations, and the exciting possibilities that unfold when diverse art forms, voices, and ideas come together.

About the Festival

Between what has been and what comes next, there is a space where anything might become possible. That space is “LIMINAL”.

This year, Tapestry takes its inspiration from “liminality” — the experience of standing at a threshold: between past and future, certainty and uncertainty, leaving and arriving, who we have been and who we might yet become. Across a series of original multi-disciplinary works, “LIMINAL” explores questions of change, identity, belonging, memory, responsibility, and transformation.

Where Creative Worlds Converge

But Tapestry is more than a collection of performances. At the heart of the Festival is the creative journey itself.

Students work across disciplines and alongside alumni, artists, and industry practitioners to research, question, experiment, devise and create original work. Theatre meets music. Dance moves beyond the traditional stage. Personal stories encounter history. Familiar spaces become performance environments. Different voices and artistic languages are brought together to discover something that none could have created alone.

This year’s Festival presents five original productions, each bringing a distinct creative vision to life under the unifying theme of “LIMINAL”. Through cross-disciplinary collaboration, students delve into complex ideas and transform them into bold, cohesive works that resonate artistically, socially, and personally – shaped by their own ideas, stories, and creative choices.

Where the Arts Meet Community Purpose

Beyond the Festival, every purchase helps creativity make a meaningful impact.

Building on our commitment to harnessing the arts for social good, the proceeds from this year’s ticket sales and festival merchandise will continue to support “Project Chey (opens in new tab)”, a community initiative in Cambodia – in partnership with the TP Community Service Club (opens in new tab).
