CCA Assistance Fund

The CCA Assistance Fund (CCA AF) is established to support students facing financial challenges, who have significantly contributed to TP through their respective CCAs. Eligible students can receive $300 per Academic Year (AY), and up to 500 students may potentially be awarded every AY.

Since its inception in AY2022/23, close to 300 students have benefitted from the CCA AF.

About the CCA Assistance Fund

Helps significant CCA contributors, who may be facing financial challenges/difficulties
Covers CCA-related expenses (e.g. equipment, subscription fees, coaching fees, training courses)
Two application periods per AY (August & November)
$300 disbursed per student/AY

Purchase of personal equipment/gear
Purchase of musical instruments/accessories
IT products
Subscription fees (e.g. software, mobile apps, etc.)
Coaching/instructor fees
External competition fees
Training courses
Nutritional supplements
Physiology/TCM treatment
Transport
Food

(*Please note that this funding supports CCA-related expenses for the conduct / training / development of your CCAs. However, as the examples provided are non-exhaustive and every CCA has different requirements, do contact the CCA AF Secretariat if you have any queries regarding the scope of coverage for your respective CCAs.)

Criteria

Character	Students with good character and conduct with no disciplinary record
CCA Contribution(s)	Students who have played a key role in organising School/Department-initiated TP-wide or external events (e.g. CCA Fair, Sports Clinics & Workshops, National Day Concert, CCN Day), in the role(s) of: Organiser Assistant Organiser Coordinator Assistant Coordinator Admin Coordinator Logistics Coordinator Publicity Coordinator Welfare Coordinator (Guide for event organising – 1 organising role: 12 to 15 participants. For more than 8 roles, the Staff Advisor will need to justify based on the event size and/or complexity of event organisation.) OR Students who have represented TP in endorsed CCA-related competitions.
Citizenship	Open to all nationalities
Academic Standing	Clear Pass* (Except for students who are in Semester 1.1) (Students who do not meet the Academic Standing requirement will be considered on a case-by-case basis.)*
Financial Standing	Financially deserving students who meet the income eligibility criteria of the higher education government bursary
Others	Full time students Cannot be financially sponsored by employers
Qualifying, Application & Disbursement Windows	First Window Qualifying Period: Events/competitions should happen between 15 April to 15 July 2024. Application Period: 8-15 August 2024 Disbursement Period: Around end-November 2024 Second Window Qualifying Period: Events/competitions should happen between 15 July to 10 November 2024. Application Period: 14-24 November 2024 Disbursement Period: Around end-February 2024

How to Apply

Staff Advisors will nominate students who meet the funding eligibility criteria.
Thereafter, students will receive invitations to apply for the CCA AF.
